I started reading the Bible when I was in college but I didn’t take it seriously until I was saved 18 years later in 2008. I have not stopped reading it ever since. I rarely have a day without reading God’s word. I like to wake up early around 5am and start reading when it’s quiet and there are no distractions. I believe that it is important to hear from God early in the morning. He is the only ONE who knows what will come my way that day and He prepares me for the spiritual battles. Then no matter what comes my way, I have a sense of peace and security that just the Lord can give me. There is always something that will talk to me from what I read. Sometimes is encouragement, sometimes direction for my life, and other times correction. When I came to America from Romania 21 years ago, I had to learn a new language, a new culture, and a new way of relating to people. In a similar when, after I got saved/born again, I had to learn my new identity in Christ, and how to live life God’s way. As I emerged myself in the word of God, my mind started to change. The direct effect was that my emotions started to change also. After I find out the great things God has for me and how He sees me, many of my negative thoughts and emotions were changing into positive ones. Hope and joy started to fill my soul. If I exercise just once per month, I know that my body will not change. But if I work out regularly, my muscles will get very strong.
”For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” -  Ephesians 6:12
It is the same with reading the Bible. With a daily discipline, I’m strengthening my spiritual muscles. When you know scripture, you recognize when you’re being lied to by the enemy. Every day we are in a spiritual war. It says in Ephesians 6:12, ”For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” I’ve learned that it is not enough to just know the word, but I must also live it and allow God to change me through His word. I pray for God’s help to apply what I’m reading. So read your Bible, especially in this world and age. You cannot afford going to war without the word of God planted in your mind and in your heart. Then you will walk in the victory Jesus purchased for you with His precious blood. I pray that we all be diligent about reading and applying God's Word. I pray that we allow God to change us by His word. Let the Bible become the final authority in your life!

The Gospel, the Good News is that Jesus Christ died for our sins. He was  buried and he was raised to life on the third day. By this Gospel, we are saved. This  means that our sins are forgiven. We are made righteous with God and have eternal  life. If we accept Jesus (God’s son) and what he did for us, we are saved. We have  eternal life.  Jesus was punished that we might be forgiven:   “Surely He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows…He was pierced for our  transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us  peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.” Isaiah 53:4-5  #faith #spirituality #Jesus #Easter

The glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ sets us free from living under guilt and  condemnation. Jesus Christ died and paid the price for our sins. He did that so we  can be set free from sin and live victorious lives. The Old Testament (before Jesus  came) shows that people had to follow the ten commandments. These were given to  make people aware of their sinful condition. In contrast, The New Testament (after  Jesus came) shares the good news. Righteousness with God can only be achieved  through faith in Jesus Christ (not by keeping the ten commandments). No matter how hard we try, we can NOT obey all of God's commandments.  Jesus Christ is the only one without sin. The good news is that when we trust in  Christ (who knew no sin, but become sin for us), we become blameless and righteous  in God's sight. This is a free gift from God. “For it is by grace you have been saved,  through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so  that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) We can NOT live under the law (the old covenant) and under God's grace (the  new covenant) at the same time!!! The Bible tells us that no one can keep the law (the  old covenant), and that all who rely on the law are under a curse. "Cursed is everyone  who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." (Galatians  3:10) God wants us to live under His grace (under the New Covenant). However,  many christians struggle to do so. In the book of Galatians, apostle Paul addresses  this issue, asking Galatians who has bewitched them. These were Christians saved by  grace that received the Spirit of God because of their belief in Christ Jesus. "You  foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was  clearly portrayed as crucified. I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you  receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so  foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means  of the flesh? (Galatians 3:1-3)  The problem that Galatians faced (as many Christians do today) is that they  departed from the reality of the cross. They started through faith in Jesus Christ but  later tried to achieve righteousness with God through their own efforts. God says that "our acts of righteousness are like filthy rags" (Isaiah 64:6), and  that "no one is justified before Him by the law" (Galatians 3:11). On the contrary, God  wants us to live by faith. "The righteous will live by faith" (Galatians 3:11)  Let’s all be diligent to receive God’s abundant provision of grace and live under  the New Covenant!!! Jesus is always with us no matter what we are going though. He gave us His  Holy Spirit to guide us and strengthen us in every situation. However, Jesus never  promised us that our life will be free of suffering. In fact, he told us that “here on earth  we will have many trials and sorrows” and encouraged us “to take heart, because He  has overcome the world” (John 16:33). Because Jesus has overcome the world, we are  overcomers too. For we are told that “in this world we are just like Him” (1 John 4:17). God never asked us to rely on our power, but on His strength. We know that  “His grace is sufficient for us, for His power is made perfect in our weaknesses” (2  Corinthians 12:9), and that “we can do all things through Christ who strengthen us”  (Philippians 4:13).  Sometimes, we might have a hard time distinguishing Jesus’ voice when we face  challenges and are overwhelmed by disappointment and suffering. Other times, we  might even doubt that we hear His voice when Jesus shows us something about  ourselves that we don’t like. But deep inside us, we know that is HIM. Because we know His voice and we are His. “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they  follow me” (John 10:27).  I believe that our inner fight makes it difficult to accept what Jesus shows us  because it is painful. When we are mistreated and hurt, Jesus still asks us to forgive  those who hurt us. He also shows us our faults and shortcomings. Our struggle is to  let go to what happened to us and move on. However with His help we can do it,  knowing that we can trust God completely with our future. Sometimes, suffering is a consequence of our choices, attitudes and behaviors.  Other times, suffering is not caused by us or others (such as the death of a loved one,  sickness and other traumatic events). There is no joy in the suffering, at least not in the first stage. But as the time  goes by, God reveals things to us about Himself and ourselves. The darkness is not so  dark anymore. God’s light permeates through and highlights thoughts and attitudes  in our hearts that are not pleasant. It comes a time when we stop blaming anyone else  around us, and take responsibilities for our own thoughts and actions. God makes  everything right in His time. Sometimes we pray for deliverance, but we are the  stumbling block and we can’t see it. As soon as we surrender and listen to what Jesus  shows us, our hearts begin to change.  Joy is usually experienced after the trial has passed. The maturing of our faith  happens in the trail. Unnecessary things, thoughts and attitudes get burned along the  way. We are free to enjoy His presence without unnecessary baggage. “Consider it  pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you  know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its  work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything” (James 1:2-4). There are so many wisdom gifts imparted in the trial. These are like precious  pearls to treasure for the rest of our lives and share with others in need. Because the  testing and strengthening of our faith was not done for us alone. It was done also to  help others who go through similar circumstances. “Praise be to the God and Father  of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who  comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the  comfort we ourselves receive from God” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). Jesus guides us even when our faith is weak in the trial. We get glimpses of Him  helping and comforting us. Let us open our hearts wide because Jesus is worthy to be  trusted. Although it may seem that He is late, Jesus is never late. His time is perfect. He  will accomplishes His work in us, and nothing will get wasted. For all of you who are going through a trial right now, remember that your  suffering is temporary and it is a test of your faith: “…for a little while you may have  had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven  genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though  refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed” (1  Peter 1:6-7). #faith #trials #suffering #spirituality

When I didn’t know better, I thought that the Bible was just a religious book.  However, after I got saved (started to believe that Jesus paid for all my sins and was  resurrected the third day), I understood that the Bible is extremely powerful. “For the  word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates  even to dividing soul; and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and  attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12).   We are made of three parts:  1. Spirit (or the Spirit man) where we have our:  
  • -communion with God, worship  
  • -intuition or gut feeling (where the Holy Spirit speaks to us)  
  • -conscience (distinguish right from wrong) 
2. Soul or MIND is made of our 
  • -free will  
  • -emotions  
  • -intellect  
3. Body (the only physical substance, where our brain is also)  It is important to understand why God tells us repeatedly to spend time in His  word, to read the Bible and meditate on it. In other words, to renew our mind with His  word. But what does it mean to “be transformed by the renewing of our minds”  (Romans 12:2)? It means that when we read (and ponder or mediate) upon the word of  God, our mind is changing, a transformation takes place. Remember, our mind is our  intellect, emotions and free will. Let’s take an example from our life and apply it. Let’s  say that we are having a tough morning, and are overcome by negative thoughts. As  we start reading the Bible, we find out that we are precious in God’s sight, that He  loves us, that He is for us and not against us. We also find out that “God renews our  strength and makes us sore on wings like eagles; we will run and not grow weary,  we will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:31).   As we emerge ourselves in the word of God, our mind starts to change. The  direct effect is that our emotions start to change also. After we find out the great  things God has for us and how He sees us, our negative thoughts and emotions are  changing into positive ones. Hope and joy start to fill our soul. We start feeling better  and our mood changes.   It is important to understand that our mind is not the same with our brain (see  the at above classification). Our mind (soul) contains our will, emotions and intellect  (2). The brain is part of our body (3). As we start reading the word of God (Bible),  we are renewing our mind. Our mind influences directly our brain. In other words, as  we renew our mind, we are changing and re-programming our brain. Scientists call  this process neuroplasticity or brain plasticity.   The good news is that even if we are used with negative thinking or excessive  worrying, we actually have the power to change that. God has given us a way by  renewing our mind with His word. As we actively do this, our mind will start to change,  and our thoughts too. We do need to be consistent and allow the word of God to  change us. Let’s be diligent about it and not give up when we skip a day or two!!!   So much it is said about the benefits of exercise, which is great for the body (3).  Spending time in God’s word is extremely beneficial not just for our body (3), but also  for our Spirit (1) and our mind (2). Our body will not change if we exercise just once  per month. But if we work out regularly, our body will change, and our muscles will get  stronger. It is the same with reading the Bible. If we renew our mind and align our  thinking with God’s word, then our thoughts will change also. We retrain our brain to  think healthy, positive thoughts. Best of all, we get to know God, our Creator, and  learn about Him and how He sees us.   As Mandy Hale said: “Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as  painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong.” WE DO NOT BELONG in a  place of negativity, unforgiveness, bitterness, or feeling sorry for ourselves. We have  the power to change by renewing our mind with God’s word: read the word, receive it  in our heart and apply it to our life. “All scripture is breathed out by God and  profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,  that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy  3:16-17)   I hope that we are all encouraged to make time for reading the Bible. What  good is to have the word of God if we never use it? Let’s be diligent and spend time in  God’s word so our whole being (Spirit, mind and body) benefits from it! Remember, if  we renew our mind (our emotions, free will, intellect), then our thoughts (brain) will  change also! How often do we feel grace and peace when we go through trials? Not often;  unless we pray, renew our minds with the Word of God and allow Him to change  our perspective. The Book of 2 Corinthians 1 gives us perspective and  understanding into our suffering as Christians. The whole chapter is a letter of  encouragement to those going through trials.   Apostle Paul opens this letter with a promising greeting: “Grace and peace  to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Corinthians 1:2). The  chapter continues to highlight God’s character: "the Father of compassion and the  God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles" (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).  Few verses later, we read an astonishing statement from Paul (a great man of  faith): "We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the  troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far  beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt we  had received the sentence of death” (2 Corinthians 1:8-9). Immediately following those verses, Paul reveals the purpose of trials and  most likely, the purpose of many of our trials: “But this happened that we might  not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead” (2 Corinthians 1:9).   Was the sentence of death that Paul felt in his heart truth? No, it was his  perception while in the trial. But after the trial ended, Paul realized that God was in  control at all times. Just like Paul, we need to trust God not our perception or  circumstances. Even the Bible tells us that "the heart is deceiving about all things”  (Jeremiah 17:9), and to “Trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our  own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).  My heart is with all of you who go through trials and sufferings, for I myself  experience plenty of them. But with every trial I experience, there is less reliance  on myself and more trusting in God. Just like you, I am learning to put my faith in  Him and rely on Him (not on myself). Just as God helped Paul, he will help us too,  for God is faithful and worthy of our praise: ”He has delivered us from such a  deadly peril, and he will deliver us. God has a beautiful plan for each of his children but so does the devil. The  Word of God teaches us that “Our enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring  lion, looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). Often, situations and people 

seem to discourage us from what God has for us. The truth is that the devil is  behind all this. His tactic is to upset, annoy, discourage, confuse, and plant lies in  our head. Remember that we are not fighting people or situations but the devil:  “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the  authorities, against the power of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of  evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12). 

The devil’s main goal is to destroy our faith. God allows our faith to be  tested through trials and suffering. But He wants us to succeed and hold on to our  faith. The great news is that the devil was already defeated on the cross. We are  told in Colossians 2:15 that Jesus “disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a  public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”  

The devil has no power over us! His deceiving schemes are geared towards  our mind. But again, he is powerless. Do NOT give him any power by entertaining  thoughts of anxiety, fear or despair! The bible encourages us in Ephesians 4:27 “do  not give the devil a foothold” and “be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power”  (Ephesians 6:10). God does NOT ask us to be strong in ourselves but IN HIM. 

Our part is to stand firm in our faith. The scripture says: “Submit ourselves,  then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from us” (James 4:7). Remember  that “the Lord our God goes with us; He will never leave us nor forsake us”  (Deuteronomy 31:6). When we face opposition and get anxious, start praying to  God and remember his promises.

One of my favorite scriptures is Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about  anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your  requests known to God. And the peace of God that surpasses all human  understanding, will guide your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Make it  personal and declare it out loud: “The peace of God, that surpasses all human  understanding guards my mind and heart in Jesus Christ”. God will make it  happen. He is faithful. 

It is vital that we shift our focus from “what we experience” to God, and do  that ON PURPOSE. Because that focus not come naturally to us in those moments.  Remember God’s promise from Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep in perfect peace those  whose minds are steadfast (all whose thoughts are fixed on you, not people or  circumstances)”. The Lord advised people in the scripture to “Be careful, keep  calm and don’t be afraid. Do not lose heart…” (Isaiah 7:4). 

We are told to “put on the full armor of God (His truth, His righteousness,  His peace, faith, salvation and His word/promises) so that when the day of evil  comes, we may be able to stand our ground, and after we have done everything, to  STAND” (Ephesians 6:13). 

Let’s FIGHT to keep our peace and stand firm in the faith! It is our right and  position we have in Christ. For “no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and  every tongue which rises against us in judgement we shall condemn. This is the  heritage of the servants of the Lord, and our righteousness is from the Lord”  (Isaiah 54:17).

How do we live in the fullness of God every day? The bible tells us that our  spiritual condition was death before coming to Christ: “As for you, you were dead  in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the  ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air (the devil)…”  (Ephesians 2:1-2).  The good news is that “because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in  mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions-it is  BY GRACE you have been saved” (Ephesians 2:4-5).  Apostle Paul prays to God in Ephesians 3:16: “I pray that out of His glorious  riches He (God) may STRENGTHEN you with POWER through His Spirit in your  inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.” His prayer  shows that we need God’s strength to keep Christ in our hearts through faith. On  the other side, Guilt, condemnation, or leaving under the law weaken us. Repent  and turn away when you sin. But do not remain there. Accept God’s forgiveness  and keep living by faith in Jesus. What STRENGTHEN us is receiving the truth of the gospel. We are under  grace and made right with God through Christ Jesus: “God will credit  righteousness-for us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the death.  He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our  justification” (Romans 4:24-25).  How do we experience the fullness of God every day? The bible makes it  clear what is vital in our daily walk with Christ: His abundant grace and His gift of  righteousness. To live victoriously in Christ, we need to receive and take hold of  God’s abundant GRACE and of his GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. If we don’t  receive His grace and righteousness daily, we will not experience the fullness of  God. Instead, we will try to make it on our own, though our own efforts. We will  run empty, frustrated and disappointed. Galatians 5:4-5 warns us about this: “You  who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have  fallen away from GRACE. For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the  RIGHTEOUSNESS for which we hope.”  Ephesians 2:8-9 is also a great reminder: “For it is by GRACE you have  been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by  works., so that no one can boast.” Every time we fall (trying to make it in our own  strength), we get up and remember that God’s abundant GRACE carries us  through. We remember that Christ’s RIGHTEOUSNESS (not ours) gives us the  right standing with God. “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who  are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of Spirit of life set me free  from the law of sin and death” (Romans 8:1-2). Let’s stand together in the truth of the Gospel and receive daily his grace and  gift or righteousness: “how much more will those who RECEIVE God’s abundant  provision of GRACE and of the GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS reign in life through  the one man, Jesus Christ!” (Romans 5:17).  #faith #spirituality #Jesus #thebloodoesus #thenewcovenant #thegoodnews #grace  #faith #believe #righteousness

Hebrews 7-10

Under the old covenant, with its rules and regulations, “the law requires that  nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without blood there is no forgiveness.”  (Hebrews 9:22)  “Unlike the other high priests, Jesus does not need to offer sacrifices day after  day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people.” (Hebrews 7:27)  “For this reason Christ is THE MEDIATOR OF A NEW COVENANT, that those  who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance-now that he has died as a  ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.” (Hebrews  9:15)  The sacrifice of Christ is all we need to be made right with God. His sacrifice is  unique and far superior than all the sacrifices that were offered. “Christ did not enter  by means of the blood and goats and calves; but He entered the Most Holy Place  ONCE for ALL by HIS OWN BLOOD, having obtained ETERNAL REDEMPTION.”  (Hebrews 9:12) There are 4 things that stand out about Jesus and His sacrifice in Hebrews 9:12.  These are the facts that make the new covenant different from the old covenant; that  make Christ sacrifice superior and all sufficient.  Christ ENTERED:
  • The Most Holy Place
  • Once for All
  • By His Own Blood
  • Having Obtained Eternal Redemption

Let’s look at each one of them and see what the scriptures say about them.

  • The Most Holy Place - “For Christ did not enter a man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true  one, he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence.” (Hebrews 9:24)
  • Once for All
    • “Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters…” (Hebrews 9:24)
    • “…he has appeared Once for All…” (Hebrews 9:26)
    • “…Christ was sacrificed Once to take away the sins of many people” (Hebrews 9:28)
    • “…we have been made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ Once for All” (Hebrews 10:10)
  • By His Own Blood
    • “…he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself” (Hebrews 9:26)
    • “How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unmblemished to God…” (Hebrews 9:14)
  • Having Obtained Eternal Redemption
    • “…by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy” (Hebrews 10:14)
    • “…we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (Hebrews 10:10)
As we can see, the sacrifice of Christ sets aside the former regulation (the old  covenant) which was weak and useless (Hebrews (7:18). Furthermore, the blood of  Christ is able to cleanse our consciences unlike the sacrifices offered under the old  covenant. “…the gifts and sacrifices being offered WERE NOT ABLE to clear the conscience  of the worshiper” (Hebrews 9:9). “The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a  heifer sprinkled on those who ceremonially unclean sanctify them so they are  OUTWARDLY CLEAN.” (Hebrews 9:13)  But “the blood of Christ CLEANSES OUR CONSCIENCES from acts that lead to  death, so that we may serve the living God.” (Hebrews 9:14)  What a wonderful thing God did for us through the perfect work of Jesus  Christ!!! Now, “we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of  Jesus” and “we have a great priest (Jesus) over the house of God”. (Hebrews 10:19,21).   “Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having  our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience…” (Hebrews 10:22)  “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is  faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23) #faith #spirituality #Jesus #thebloodoesus #thenewcovenant #thegoodnews

When you are saved, God sees you in a different light than you see yourself:  “But now God has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to  present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—if you  continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held  out in the gospel (Colossians 1:22-23).  In the book of Romans, God says that “There is no one righteous, not even  one” (Romans 3:11) and “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”  (Romans 3:23). The good news is that “all are justified freely by His grace through  the redemption that came by Christ Jesus” (Romans 3:24).   What does this mean? It means that God provided a way for us to be made  right with Him: “This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all  who believe” (Romans 3:22). In other words, if you believe that Jesus died for  your sins and that He was raised from dead the third day, YOU ARE SAVED.  When a person is saved, he or she is in right standing with God and has  peace with Him: “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with  God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1). Your salvation comes with  many blessings as listed in the Book of Ephesians (1:3-14): 
  • You are IN CHRIST 
  • You are HOLY 
  • You are BLAMELESS 
  • You are BLESSED with every spiritual blessing in Christ 5. You are ADOPTED as his son or daughter 
  • You are REDEEMED through the blood of Jesus 
  • You are FORGIVEN of all your sins 
  • You are CHOSEN 
  • You are PREDESTINED according to God's plan 
  • You are INCLUDED IN CHRIST 
  • You are MARKED in Him with a SEAL, the promised HOLY SPIRIT These are the scriptures that support the blessings mentioned above: 
1, 2 and 3 - “For He/God chose us IN HIM/CHRIST before the creation of the  world to be HOLY and BLAMELESS in His sight” (Ephesians 1:4). 4 - “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has BLESSED  US in the heavenly realms WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING IN CHRIST”  (Ephesians 1:3).  5 - “In love He predestined us to be ADOPTED AS HIS SONS THOUGH JESUS  CHRIST in accordance with his pleasure and will- to the praise of his glorious  grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves” (Ephesians 1:5-6).  6 and 7 - “In Him/Christ we have REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, THE  FORGIVENESS OF SINS, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he  lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding” (Ephesians 1:7-8).  8 and 9 - “In Him/Christ we were also CHOSEN, having been PREDESTINED  according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the  purpose of His will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be  for the praise of His glory” (Ephesians 1:11-12).  10 - “And you also were INCLUDED IN CHRIST when you heard the word of  truth, the gospel of your salvation” (Ephesians 1:13).  11 - “Having believed, you were MARKED IN HIM WITH A SEAL, THE  PROMISED HOLY SPIRIT, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the  redemption of those who are God’s possession-to the praise of His glory”  (Ephesians 1:13-14).  I will end here, with a prayer for all of us (from Ephesians 1:17-19): “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give  us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that we may know Him better.
